Sometimes we all need a little sun, sand, and sea. Here's a little shot of Miami Beach to brighten your Wednesday!
This was taken on South Beach, which is in the southern section of Miami Beach. Did you know that Miami Beach was once just mangroves, swamp, and unsuccessful coconut plantations? Not until Carl Fisher dredged Biscayne Bay to start filling in these barrier islands -- creating larger islands -- did Miami Beach as we know it really get going.
