Have you seen Miami's historic lighthouse?

If you haven't visited the historic lighthouse at the very tip of Key Biscayne -- the island just off mainland Miami -- then you're missing out on one of the Magic City's most stunning attractions. Within the urban oasis of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, not only can you visit this 1846 lighthouse, you can also enjoy a pristine beach with clear, clean water, excellent fishing, nature trails, and two restaurants.

With convenient bathrooms and showers to wash off your sandy feet, this is one state park that is a "must see" if you're visiting Miami with kids. Another Miami for Families tip? If your children are old enough, check out the park ranger's tour of the lighthouse and the keeper's quarters. Fascinating stuff! This beautiful spot definitely ranks as one of my favorite south Florida destinations.
